Lee Burton – Acid Breeding

Berlin based Lee Burton rounds off summer with an explosive launch to his mysterious new label project, Bleach. The first record on the label will come from Lee himself as he looks to explore uncharted territory with a hazy techno four tracker, smoked out and raw, ready for the peak hours of the night. The aptly named ‘Acid Breeding’ was predominantly recorded live at his studio in the German capital, sharing a new side to his multi faceted sound, influenced by his deep diving into the underground energy of 90s rarities, when acid techno was in its heyday.

The thunderous kick of the first track ‘2nd’ immediately lets you know you are in the right place for some immersive techno energy. Tight, shimmering hi-hats, combined with squelchy acid overtones, conversing with the murmurs of the small hours. The title track features next, a pure rave nostalgia essence about it from the get go. The animated acid lines take your mind for a wander, creating a pensive flow on the floor.

As you reach the B side, the low driven push of ‘Flux’ adds another dynamic to the release, continuing to evolve throughout the ecstasy fueled track, hypnotic as it grows. Last but not least is the twisted environment titled ‘Gaba’, the whirring beeps and bleeps lead the way, you wouldn’t want to come across this in a dark room…or would you? Lee Burton captured four distinct and psychedelic cuts across this inaugural release.

The Bleach launch and debut record spotlights Lee’s versatility as a DJ and producer, something that has always reflected within his sound, but with this fresh narrative he looks to extend that even further, allowing himself total freedom by creating his own imprint.
